September Meetings: Drive Electric Week

Northern Colorado Clean Cities will be joining the Greeley Farmer’s Market to show case electric vehicles, and more! Stop by and bring the kids. Northern Colorado Clean Cities will be sponsoring the kids’ activity booth that will focus on clean transportation.

Golden

You can expect to see several Teslas, Volts, Bolts, and LEAFs at this event, but hopefully you’ll see many other brands, too! The organizer himself owns both a Tesla Model S and a Chevy Volt, and close friends own other EVs and will be attending. Won’t you join them?

We plan to partner with Civic Center Eats (food truck market) where two thousand people eat lunch during the week. We will close Bannock Street in front of the City and County building and host test drives with multiple EV models and e-bikes. The first 100 people to test drive will receive a free lunch at the food trucks. Also along Bannock will be an EV car show where EV owners, City fleet vehicles, and electric business fleets will showcase different models and interact with the public. Vehicles will also be staged at various points throughout the food truck area to interact with attendees and point them to the test drive and EV car show.

Boulder

Electric vehicle owners and dealerships will be there to show their cars and answer questions – no sales pitches, no test drives, just a great opportunity to learn more about the growing options (and falling prices) for Driving Electric. Also present will be charging station providers, integration solutions for combining EV’s with renewable energy sources, electric bikes, and more. Not to mention, the ever-fabulous Boulder Farmer’s Market of fresh local produce, plus many food and beverage vendors.

Summit County – Frisco

High Country Conservation Center is celebrating National Drive Electric Week by partnering with the “Breckenridge for 100% Renewable Energy” campaign to showcase multiple makes and models of all-electric and plug-in electric hybrid cars. If you’ve ever considered buying an electric car, this event is for you! Come check out electric cars in person and talk to the Summit County locals who drive them.

Broomfield

Garry Skinner will be there before 9:00 with his Blue Tesla Roadster, so look for him to gather as a group. This will be part of the Broomfield Days Car Show. A parade takes place from 9:30 to 10:00 and ends in the Park.
